Every zone counts once. A delivery day publishes only when all 23 have cleared and been published by the source; a zone that is missing on the most recent day is marked, and that day is simply absent from the series rather than estimated.

The average wholesale day-ahead price across 23 European bidding zones, in euros per megawatt hour. Every zone counts once. The index is that same basket expressed against its July 2026 average, which was —.
Not the delivered cost of electricity. It excludes network charges, capacity, balancing, taxes, supplier margin and hedging, and a large load's all-in cost is typically a multiple of this and moves differently. For delivered cost see realized cost.
A day publishes only when all 23 zones are present. Nothing is interpolated, carried forward or substituted, and a missing day stays missing. A weekly figure needs seven consecutive complete days, so a gap withholds the comparison rather than shortening it.
