Terms of Use & Disclaimer

Last updated: June 2026
PowerGridIQ is an independent informational service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a substitute for any official grid operator, energy regulator, or financial data provider.

1. Data Accuracy

PowerGridIQ uses a three-tier data model:

● Live (EIA) — Real-time demand data for US electricity markets sourced from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) API. This data is as accurate as the EIA feed at the time of retrieval.

◐ Estimated — Data for non-US regions is procedurally modelled using publicly available grid parameters, typical generation profiles, and heuristic peak demand factors. Plant names, capacities, and grid statistics outside the United States are synthetic estimates and may not reflect actual operating conditions.

Weather — Sourced from Open-Meteo, a free public weather API. Accuracy is subject to Open-Meteo's own data quality.

All data is provided on a best-efforts basis. PowerGridIQ makes no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any purpose of any data displayed.

2. Not Financial or Trading Advice

Energy price data shown on this site is modelled and time-adjusted from regional baseline estimates. It does not represent live market prices, real-time locational marginal prices (LMPs), or any traded energy product.

PowerGridIQ is not intended for use in trading, hedging, procurement, or any financial decision-making. Do not rely on this site for energy market transactions. For live market data, consult your regional grid operator or a licensed energy data provider.

3. Not Investment Advice

Nothing on this site constitutes investment advice. Grid headroom, reserve margin, renewable penetration, and infrastructure indicators are informational estimates only. Investment and site-selection decisions should be made with the assistance of qualified advisors and primary data sources from relevant grid operators.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PowerGridIQ and its operators accept no liability for any loss, damage, or harm arising from your use of, or reliance on, any information on this site. Use of this site is entirely at your own risk.

5. Intellectual Property

The PowerGridIQ name, design, and original software are the property of the site operator. Underlying data sourced from the EIA, Open-Meteo, and other public APIs remains the property of their respective owners and is used in accordance with their terms of service.

6. Privacy & Advertising
